Contributing to blogTO, Explained

A lot of web sites and media these days talk about community. From time to time we talk about it too. For us it means a lot more than, say, a lively comment thread or a Flickr group. As much as those two things are key elements to this site, we've always wanted to do more. A lot more. So, today I'm happy to announce that we've finally set up a page that explains a number of different ways we're trying to further embrace community and enable many more of you to have a more amplified voice on this site.

While some of what's on this page is simply an effort to better communicate some features that have long been in place, there are a couple of new options that might be of interest to some.

We now have a process in place that makes it possible for any of you to contribute articles or reviews to the site. In the past, we had strict rules that only our core team created the editorial. And while anything submitted to us is still subject to review and approval by our editorial team, we've decided to at least enable this because we recognize that many of you might be interested in contributing something once or occasionally without the pressure of a minimum or longer-term commitment.

All the details can be found on our new Contribute page (Some of you may have already noticed the link at the top of this page) and some new pages that link from that page. Go ahead and take a look.
