The city surprised me today. It was one of those peaceful moments at 1pm on a Friday where I ran down the Osgoode subway steps and was instantly sucked in by the ARTWORK, not ADVERTISING that was hung across the subway walls.

There are two installations: the one I couldn't stop gawking at is called Suspects: Seven Sinners and Seven Righteous. It's a series of 14 photographs, half of the subjects are innocent Russian schoolgirls and the other half are of girls who have committed a murder. Can you tell who is innocent?

It's put on by Contact for the Toronto Photography Festival that is going on from May 1- 31st.

Contact has even added a twist: The first person who can figure out who is the righteous, and who is the sinner, can win a photograph from the series, just email Contact with your answer.

The second installation at Osgoode is of orphan gorillas abandoned by poachers. This series is by photographer James Mollison who captures just how similar their thoughful stares are to our own.

The most thought-provoking $2.50 I've spent in a long time.
