Art Show Overload

I write that in a good way. In my mind, the beginning of May is the most exciting time of the year to be gallery going in Toronto. One of the best shows I've ever seen at the MOCCA - Imaging a Shattering Earth - kicked off yesterday. The feature photographer here is Edward Burtynsky, but all the works are amazing. Opening night is May 5th (7-9pm).

The Thursday opening (4-9pm) to check out just might be Rough Beauty at Pikto Gallery in the Distillery District.

Other shows on my radar include The Forgotten War at Scotia Plaza, Unembedded at Lennox Contemporary, Terra Brasilis at X-Space and Theatre of the Street in the Junction.

The photo from above is taken from the Team Macho is a Tough Man exhibit (non-CONTACT related) at Magic Pony.
