Gallery Space: In Disappearing Cities

This week, in a quick installment of Gallery Space, I've got two shows of note... both revolving around photography and the city.

Digifest is on and photobloggers have infiltrated the fest as they did Contact. Friday, May 12th, local photobloggers, Sam Javanrouh, Davin Risk, Gayla Trail and Matt O'Sullivan present Photogrammetry at Harbourfront Centre. The opening is from 7-9pm and the exhibit will run until July 9th.

The Disappearing City, a photo exhibit by David Kaufman, is on right now at Bliss Gallery (1402 Queen East). The show, which is part of Contact, features decades worth of large-format architectural photos of the city. The exhibit explores the city in all its local charm... charm that is disappearing in the face of cookie-cutter commercial development. See it now -- before it too disappears on May 28th, 2006.
