The Ultimate Scavenger Hunt
Do you love the thrill of the hunt? Are you clever with riddles, have an uncanny knowledge of the City of Toronto, and have access to a digital camera? Well, grab a couple friends and sign up for the Shoot Experience Connective Collective 2007. It's the ultimate photo scavenger hunt!
There are five dates scheduled for Toronto- with many more treasure hunts planned in ten cities across the world like Johannesburg, London, Berlin and San Francisco. The events will take place between May and August (all the Toronto shoots will happen in May), and at the end of the summer a massive slide show will be created and exhibited in each city.
Toronto dates include:
Saturday, May 05 (launch party to follow)
Sunday, May 06
Sunday, May 13
Sunday, May 20
Sunday, May 27
All participants will convene at The Drake Hotel on your chosen date, and the whole shebang is part of this years Contact Festival. The goal of the scavenger hunt is to inspire photographers to explore the theme of 'WATER', and to demonstrate the varying perspectives seen across the world regarding this popular, and sometimes controversial topic.
Teams can consist of 2-4 people, and the registration fee is $25 per person. Only one digital camera is required, and there will be prizes awarded at the end of each day for the most inspiring photos. Prizes include Olympus cameras, maps, photography related gadgets, books and electronic equipment. Register soon, as space is limited!
Shoot Experience is a UK based organization that, for the past two years, has planned photographic events bringing together people with common interests and ideas. The annual scavenger hunt has already enjoyed much success in London and the UK, and this year is the first the event is going global. I say, "Welcome, and bring it on!"
