The Hobo Homos

Abnormals Anonymous: Sideshow Comes to the Gladstone

Come one, come all. Ladies and Gentlebloggers, tonight the Gladstone Ballroom hosts a rare treat. It's not every day the circus rolls into town, and even less, anything like this.

The Hobo Homos present an evening like nothing you've ever seen on Queen West (even on a rowdy night): Abnormals Anonymous-- a celebration of circus freaks and social deviants!

Promising a colourful queer carnival, the Hobo Homos have gathered local talents ranging from burlesque dancers to contortionists and all kinds of deviations in between. Come for the candy apples, stay for the strippers...

The minds behind this show describe the concept as,

"An amazing, never-seen-before queer political performance night reclaiming the original notion of "the freak" in circus and sideshow as currently experienced by queer communities in social culture. All those who experience the atrocities of social voyeurism when it comes to your genders, identities, abilities, backgrounds and deviance."

The list of performers has undergone some last minute changes and is looks like a pretty entertaining line-up:

- Keith Cole (as your host)
- The Hobo Homos
- Sideshow Tranny in His Natural Habitat
- Skin Tight Outta Sight
- Phantom of The Carnival
- Gemini - The Two Faced Queer
- Tattoo Diva
- Lynn Philips of Random Order
- Circus of The Damned
- St Stella the Contortionist
- CoCo La Creme
- DJ Catscratch

Doors open at 9pm and the show begins at 10pm. You can get $10 advance tickets today at Good For Her, otherwise it's $12- 15 sliding scale at the door.
