Last night hundreds of Manifesto-goers celebrated the opening of the Made You Look Art Exhibition at 99 Sudbury Street, which featured the works of Paul Leli, internationally renowned illustrator and designer Dubelyoo (aka The Art Bishop), local woodgrain artist Eric Quebral, NYC-based hip hop photographer Ernie Paniccioli and more, as well as live DJs and musical performances from Sarah Linhares (MTL), The Extremities, Circle Research, DJ Fase and DJ Moonstarr.

I made my way to the gallery shortly before midnight, just in time to catch a live set from the soulful Sarah Linhares, while DJ Moonstarr backed her up on the decks. They played in front of a vibrant and magnificent backdrop made up of 5,024 Rubik's cubes, meticulously arranged to depict a few luminaries of the Toronto hip hop scene -- Michie Mee, Maestro Fresh Wes, Saukrates, Kardinal Offishall, K-OS, K'naan and Drake.

Made You Look runs at 99 Sudbury until October 2, and will be open daily from noon until 7pm. Keep an eye on the Manifesto website for details on the closing party, which will coincide with Nuit Blanche 2010.
