Rob Ford feels the love and hate in snoetry
Some will remember our post last year on some pretty cool snow art -- or snoetry -- near the foot of Spadina. Well, Casie Stewart let us know earlier today that the same plot of land is now home to a new message -- or more accurately, two competing messages. I suspect the original was likely the work of Gregory Alan Elliot (last year's was). It reads: "MAYOR FORD IS NOT MY ENEMY."
It seems, however, that not all viewers of the impromptu message agreed with such a sentiment, so the message has been altered to read "MAYOR FORD IS NOT MY ENEMY." The possibility also exists, of course, that Eliott is responsible for the double meaning, which would be pretty savvy. Isn't erasure great? When used, statements tend to turn in on themselves, revealing conflict at their very heart -- so much like this city right now.
