Shot of Art: Alisdair Jones' Toronto Intersections

Here's one of the cool project's to come out of the CONTACT Photography Festival this year. Put together as part of Magnum Workshop with David Alan Harvey, Alisdair Jones' series of tightly cropped shots of Toronto intersections offers a tantalizing glimpse of the city and its residents. By the looks of the ones I've seen in the blogTO Flickr pool, the bulk of the photos were taken at Dundas and Spadina and Queen and Spadina, both bustling places perfect for this type of work. Shot with a 35mm fixed focal length lens at its widest aperture, this is Toronto street photography at its finest.
