Guillermo del Toro shouts out his favourite Toronto bookstores
Guillermo del Toro might need to change his surname to "del Toronto" if the acclaimed Mexican filmmaker gets any more obsessed with Canada's largest city.
The cinema titan is no stranger to the city, choosing it as a shooting locale for movies like his Academy Award-winning 2017 film The Shape of Water.
Del Toro has once again set up shop in Toronto for his latest production, an adaptation of horror classic Frankenstein, and it seems the filmmaker has been spending time enjoying the local bookshop scene between shoots.

With production expected to continue until early July, the filmmaker is filling his time in local bookstores and recently talked of how he did "damage" on a visit to Vinegar Syndrome, located at 399 Roncesvalles Ave.

In addition to Acadia, the award-winning director named some of his other favourite spots to browse literature around the city.
I believe LABYRINTH Books @LabyrinthBooks still open in Burlington (Is it??), the BMV on Blood, SEEKERS BOOKS (occult, Spirituality), THE GREAT ESCAPE on Kingston (Fun, and guided by love of books).
