Nuttea Toronto
Nuttea, a tea brand originated from Taiwan, has arrived in Toronto with their trendsetting nut mylk and plant-based drinks.
Founded in 2017, Nuttea brings a delightful twist to traditional Taiwanese milk tea with their superior ingredients and unique extraction process.
Each drink is meticulously crafted with five different types of nuts— cashew, macadamia, hazelnut, almond and walnut, offering a nutrient-rich alternative to conventional dairy-based options.
The stylish mural at their Toronto location is a collaboration with local artist Natasha Pelley-Smith. Painted with Nuttea's colours, this design incorporates elements like the CN Tower and white Trillium flowers.
From signature nut mylk to nut cream, all beverages in Nuttea are prepared with their homemade sugar. I'd recommend going with less sugar for a lighter mouthfeel.
The best way to savour their nut cream drink is to scoop a generous amount of cream sprinkled with chopped nuts. Then tilt at a 45-degree angle to relish the harmonious blend of thick cream and the layer beneath in a single sip.
For a perfect closing, artfully blend the layers together and convert your cup into a vegan milk tea.
This classic combination of pure Jasmine Green Tea with Nut Cream ($7.45) was an award-winning beverage at the Taiwan Milk Tea Festival. It's fresh and floral with neither element overpowering one another.
One of their top sellers, Earl Grey with Chocolate Nut Cream ($8.45) is a must order for chocolate lovers, seamlessly uniting the notes of bergamot and nut cream infused with cacao powder, creating a dreamy chocolatey beverage.
The Mango Tea with Nut Cream ($8.45) is a fusion of sweet ripe mango and fragrant jasmine tea, all finished with their velvety nut cream.
For a simpler choice, opt for this caffeine-free Pure Nut Mylk ($6.95), which serves as a direct introduction to their signature product. Its unsweetened, mellow nutty flavour makes it an excellent and wholesome option for breakfast or post-workout.
Oolong Nut Mylk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapioca ($8.95) is an alternative to regular bubble milk tea without compromising on taste or texture. A medley of rich oolong tea, smooth nut mylk and chewy tapioca keeps this drink silky, sweet and nutty in every sip.
If you're lactose-intolerant and craving a caffeine boost in the morning, the Nutty Mocha ($7.45) is maybe what you want to order. Also made with nut mylk, this chocolate-flavoured latte has a deeper tone with prominent coffee and chocolate notes.
Nuttea is located at 637 Bloor St W.
