Early this morning and after 43 years of service (1962-2005) the "Four Sisters" stacks of the Lakeview Generating Station in the city's way west end were brought down by explosives in a controlled demolition. I came across this rather awesome video of the take-down on YouTube.

More info on the building, it's service history, and it's demolition can be found in the demolition news release.
