Finally: Premier McGuinty attempts to put an end to the ongoing kerfuffle over the Jarvis St. courthouse Christmas tree by declaring that the iconic holiday symbol won't require special written legislation.

Finally: Bombardier gets the controversial TTC subway car deal signed in ink. 234 subway cars are coming our way between 2009 and 2011. I'd still like to see washrooms at Keele, Pape, and the Eglintons.

Finally: The MPP pay raise issue is finally over, as base salary was upped to more than $110,000 a year. MPPs can now begin their 3-month recess with added peace of mind.

Also: North York's Dallington Public School may very well have the coolest principal ever. In the school gym yesterday, she fulfilled her promise to eat larvae, ants, and crickets after her students raised 500 pounds of goods for the Daily Bread Food Bank.
