The opposition heavy House of Commons has passed bill C-288 which told Prime Minister Harper that Canada must strive to meet our Kyoto Protocol goals. Will the Conservatives ignore the bill? Take it to court?
The Alberta tar sands (an environmental polluter of epic proportions) are on Al-Qaeda's hit list (for other reasons), according to threats posted to the web.
On a more local level, the city and Mayor Miller are also facing criticism on environmental policy after funding for the cycling committee was cut in half.
Chrysler is cutting jobs and production numbers in its Windsor and Brampton plants. Consumers are shifting demand away from massive gas guzzlers and instead demanding smaller, more fuel-efficient cars - a step in the right direction.
