Spook Show Baby!
Guys and girls of the 90's, don't lie, you know you had huge crushes on Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Chris Carter's only vision worth mentioning, The X-Files, brought out the paranormal groupie in all of us.
But how many of you have ever been poked and prodded by little green men? Perhaps you've had visions of your Great Aunt Lucy telling you from beyond the grave to "Turn off the damn stove!" It's childish, and my wife still makes fun of me for it, but I still claim to have seen the same ghost every day for about a year when I was around 4 years old. Chalk it up to childhood dreams/nightmares, but maybe I was able to see it because my eyes and mind had yet to be contaminated with expectations of what should and shouldn't be.
Ya, I totally have a clue for Scully. But I'm not the only one. It's Friday the 13th, and Toronto's own Ghost and Hauntings Research Society are keeping track of all the freaky crap happening in "the golden horseshoe".

Matthew Didier and Sue Darroch started the Ghost and Hauntings Research Society in 1997 as a labor of love, and have since gone on to catalog and collect extensive information on a veritable tonnage of hauntings and other paranormal activity. Going through their site and the published research and findings, one can't help but feel a sense of uneasiness while telling themselves that it's only the ravings of a bunch of quacks.
Not only does the GHRS's site catalog experiences of the hauntings, but there's also things like EVP 'How-to" documents, glossaries, Ontario hoaxers, and guides for ghost investigations. Are you just getting started with ghost hunting after one too many episodes of Supernatural? Check out their Student FAQ first.
Sue and Matthew also manage two frequently updated blogs. Their paranormal one with the really long title often sees multiple daily updates on paranormal activity and other things concerning their freaky vocation. Another one of theirs is, strangely enough, dedicated to saving up enough money to buy a run down, dead and in need of massive repairs double decker bus. One gets the idea that if they managed to get their hands on the bus that they might actually take a break from ghost hunting for, I dunno, maybe a week or two. One Old Green Bus also sees daily updates, and I'm not talking about those "So I don't know what to write about today, so I'll just write about not knowing what to write about" entries so prevalent in the BlogSpot world.
Demonoid phenomenons in our fair city? Who'd have thunk we might be sitting on top of our very own paranormal hellmouth!
