Your morning news roundup for Friday June 22nd, 2007:

It's officially summer. Hope you had a happy summer solstice yesterday.

The highly controversial narrowing of Lansdowne Avenue is underway, but not without residents staging a fight. They're taking the city and their councillor Adam Giambrone to court on the issue.

Residents in High Park have banded together to protest the closure of a local swimming pool. They're getting the media attention they need, but it's the money to keep the pool open that is what they really want.

High fives for the OPP and Peel police forces for their part in dismantling a cross-border gun and drug smuggling operation - that's 29 guns that could have quickly been in the wrong hands.

Don't drive your car in the downtown core this weekend unless you want to spend your weekend in your car.

Today's Crossroad Puzzle after the jump...
