One poorly executed hop by one really unfortunate squirrel is all it took to take down power in a large section of the downtown core yesterday.
Just two days into the much-debated scaled-back schedule for city run community centres (which was to see them closed every Monday), Mayor Miller has announced that the decision has been reversed and centres will be open all week again (even though the city can't really afford it).
With the Internet-age in full swing, when was the last time you set foot into an actual library? Are libraries in schools dying? Just 30 years ago, school libraries stocked about 3 books/student, but numbers today are at about 0.3 books/student.
For the second time in recent years, Moosehead has been victimized by a major beer heist as two trucks containing 100,000 beers have vanished from a transport facility in Mississauga. There's a wild, wild party going on somewhere.
