A 5-year old boy wearing dinosaur pajamas was found wandering barefoot in the snow (via CityTV's Breakfast Television). UPDATE: This has been sorted out and the kid is back in the care of his family.

Was it self-defense? Is he even who they think he is? A suspected felon is on death row, and has just 30 days to win an appeal to stay the execution. Oh, and just to be clear - he's a dog.

A flu outbreak at a Mississauga hospital has resulted in a drastic shortage of beds. At one point yesterday 38 people were on stretchers in the waiting room. I was in my own bed, dealing with my own flu, and plan to return to it after I post this brew.

Last year Royal Ontario Museum staffers made an amazing discovery in their own basement, and the museum now has an incredible dinosaur on display. News today reveals that an "unidentified bat" fossil cast, that has been on display for months, suggests that a bat's ability to fly preceded its sonic navigation system. They kept it a secret until it was to be published in the journal Nature.

The TTC is expected to announce some major service improvements today. Boosting the frequency on over 50 routes would be a great way to reduce congestion and general malaise amongst riders.
