Earth Hour turned into Earth Sunday for a number of residents in the south end of the downtown core. Multiple power line failures left them without electricity all through the night. It's a great excuse to be late for work this morning, but likely a significant disturbance to routine (cold showers and convenience store coffee for all!).

Police have also made an arrest in the callous Lawrence Heights shooting case which employed chilling video posted to Youtube and various media outlets. A second suspect is still being sought.
