Though the real fireworks won't likely begin until the first meeting of the new city council on December 7, the Rob Ford era began at midnight this morning shortly after former mayor David Miller said a few goodbyes at the Rivoli.

Already there's much talk surrounding the possibility that team Ford will ditch Transit City, and today comes news that the new mayor may have his sights on making the TTC an essential service.
