Few things are as important to the relative visual interest of the urban landscape as signage. Not all signs are created equally, however. Much of our streetscape is dotted with bland and predictable signage that does little to capture the imagination. But for every 20 or 30 boring signs, there are those iconic ones that double-up as works of art and induce instant nostalgia on site.
