Canada Day fireworks in Toronto for 2013 will no doubt benefit from the momentum of recent Toronto festivities like Pride (June 21-30) and with the introduction of a "Canada Eve" event. With a handful of noteworthy live performances to accompany the pyrotechnics, this year's fireworks lineup is sure to impress. Not to say that fireworks aren't impressive enough on their own. But still.

Harbourfront Centre
This year, Harbourfront is rebelliously hosting its fireworks show on June 30 (10:30-11pm), dubbing this newly sacred night "Canada Eve". In addition to fireworks, Harbourfront will be hosting an array of other Canada Day celebrations from June 28 to July1. Live performances by Elliot BROOD and Alex Cuba are scheduled.

Ashbridges Bay
The Canada Day fireworks at Ashbridges Bay are scheduled to take place just after 9:30 pm on July 1. Bring along a picnic blanket and some beer to maximize beach-at-dusk enjoyment.

Centennial Park
The fireworks celebrations at Centennial Park overlap with the tail end of Toronto Ribfest (June 28 to July 1). Eat excessive amounts of ribs from 11am to 1pm, sleep off your food coma, and promptly return to the park for Canada Day fireworks at 10pm.

Downsview Park
The fireworks spectacle at Downsview Park is scheduled to take place shortly after 10pm on the birthday of our fair nation. Viewing from both the Meadow and Festival Terrace will be available. Bonus: free parking.

Mel Lastman Square
The fireworks at Mel Lastman Square (beginning at 10:15pm) will serve as the grand finale to daylong Canada Day festivities. The Derek Miller Band and She King are scheduled to perform.

Canada's Wonderland
Canada's Wonderland has pyrotechnic fanatics FX WORXS designing their fireworks show this year. So be prepared for the biggest, baddest fireworks of all time. And be ready for them at 10pm sharp.

Mississauga's Celebration Square
The Celebration Square festivities will begin at 4pm on July 1 with performances by Toronto boys, Down With Webster and Young Empires. Food vendors and kids' activities make this Canada Day event ideal for families. The climactic fireworks are scheduled to begin around 10pm.

Stan Wadlow Park
Stan Wadlow Park will be celebrating Canada Day by providing patrons with a brief history of East York. Craft-making activities will also be offered. Cap off the day with the fireworks show, which is scheduled for 10pm.

Richmond Green Park (Richmond Hill)
Richmond Green Park's fireworks will begin at 10pm after a full day of community celebrations (gates open at 11am). Activities include a retail marketplace, art exhibition and headlining performance by Jesse Labelle.
