House of the week: 6 Munro Park Avenue
6 Munro Park Avenue, a 5,000 square foot house in the Beach neighbourhood, is on the real estate market for $3,890,000. Previously listed for $4,295,000, the renovated stucco property didn't sell and was a record high for the prestigious street where houses are rarely put on the market and typically go for under $2-million.
Before you feel bad for this possibly unsellable Queen East abode, take a look at the killer (but somewhat dated) features inside. The four-storey house showcases a marble fireplace in the living room, a glass staircase, heated floors and an expensive fire engine red Poggenpohl Kitchen.
The third floor is a full master suite with two balconies, walk-in closet, spa bathroom and a jacuzzi tub. The fourth floor is the newly built loft space, a man cave with a flat screen TV and skylight (way more practical than building an underground man cave tunnel). In addition, there's a wine cellar in the basement, a private coach house and a landscaped backyard.
Along with the awesome waterfront view, it's a great neighbourhood for celebrity spotting with actress Shirley Douglas (mom of Kiefer Sutherland) living in the area. Think this property will see another price drop? Take a look at the photos and decide.

NOTABLE FEATURES
GOOD FOR
Summer entertaining. It's a great space for entertaining and backyard barbecues. In the warmer months, guests will flock to the neighbourhood for a stroll on the beach and shopping along Queen. If invited, they can bunk in the coach house.
MOVE ON IF
You need the subway. Torontonians love the Beach, even though it's somewhat lacking in accessibility. There's no subway and the streetcar is usually packed with commuters, often taking hours to get across the city. The Beach is freakin' freezing in the winter and street parking is limited in the summer.
