Olivia Chow to battle Adam Vaughan in federal election

Olivia Chow will return to federal politics, the NDP announced today. After an unsuccessful bid to become Toronto's mayor, the former city councillor and MP took some time away from the political game, but is now primed to return to battle a former municipal colleague in the form of Adam Vaughan, current MP for Trinity-Spadina.

The battle between the two in the next election should be an interesting one. Not only have the lines been redrawn for this riding since the last election (it's now referred to as Spadina-Fort York), but voters in the area tend to lean to the left side of the political spectrum, which one suspects will make things very competitive between the candidates.
