How to mark Remembrance Day in Toronto for 2015
Remembrance Day in Toronto is a time for solemn reflection, honouring fallen soldiers and veterans. A moment of silence will be observed across the city at promptly 11 a.m. in tribute to the formal end of hostilities from the First World War in 1918. Services will take place at Old City Hall, Fort York, and various civic centres across the GTA.
Remember that while it may not be a statutory holiday, government offices and banks will be closed.
Here are events around Toronto and the GTA where you can observe Remembrance day this year.
