Condo of the week: 390 Cherry Street
There are plenty of condos in Toronto listed between $1 million and $1.5 million that don't offer a whole lot of space or design attributes. This unit at 390 Cherry Street is a pleasant exception to the rule, featuring three bedrooms spread across two floors.
Located at the eastern end of the Distillery District, there's plenty of amenities nearby, and the condo also benefits from the rise of the neighbourhing Canary District, which has brought new retail options and a sparkly YMCA.
There's lots to like about the unit itself, which features a modern soft loft design, but still manages to feel warm thanks to the laminate floors. The kitchen is minimalist, but that just makes the main floor appear more spacious. Hey, there's even a grand piano.
Between the wrap around terrace, second floor balcony, and the communal pool, outdoor space is well above average here (there's 720 quare feet of it), and there's also a well equipped gym to justify your maintenance fees.
A family who likes the idea of living in a condo over a home. There's enough space here inside and out to accommodate a four to five person family.
You want to be right dowtown. There's still a decent commute to get to somewhere like the Financial District. Transit convenience isn't the best feature of this particular condo.
