Toronto driver shuts down local highway to do donuts

The Ontario Provincial Police (and most people in general) are not impressed after a video has surfaced of drivers taking over a chunk of the highway to live out their Fast and Furious dreams.

Last night, OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt posted a video on Twitter and Instagram of a group of drivers who decided to stop traffic near Pearson Airport to do donuts in the middle of Highway 409 — smart.

Several of them used their cars to block several highway lanes as others stood around to watch as one driver opted to mangle their tires to do O's on the 409.

"This is not only dangerous illegal, it is disappointing whne a mob mentality of hijacking a highway to make a scene like this is conducted," wrote Sgt. Schmidt.

"We are better than this...aren't we?"

Evidently, some of us aren't. Whoever was recording spun around to catch the scene behind the blockade, which looked like a pretty big lineup of cars waiting for the BS to be over.

Move your wannabe Toronto Drift to a parking lot next time, thanks.
