Here are some of the businesses opening at the former Honest Ed's site in Toronto

Five years since the demolition of iconic landmark Honest Ed's, a new presence has taken over the southwest corner of Toronto's Bathurst and Bloor intersection.

The spiritual and physical successor to the lost bargain retailer carries on the legacy of namesake theatre and business magnate, Ed Mirvish, in a mixed-used community with a blend of retail, rental, and public spaces, known as Mirvish Village.

Construction is winding down on the multi-tower community, and businesses are preparing to open up within the approximately 200,000 square feet of creative workspace and retail that will animate the complex with activity.

A handful of businesses opening at Mirvish Village were revealed in 2022, including an LCBO location anchoring the corner of Bathurst and Bloor, and a new permanent campus for Niagara College – Toronto which has already opened its doors for students and faculty.

The latest business reveal comes through a signage permit application filed with the City in March, which spilled the beans that Taiwanese bakery La Petite Colline will be opening a location within Mirvish Village.

La Petite Colline's existing location can be found at the north edge of the city on Steeles, and a presence at Mirvish Village will bring the bakery's delectable delights to a new market of potential patrons.
