A local events company known for its equally alluring and unsettling tours of "dead malls" in Toronto has added another curious experience to its offerings, which all focus on "unravelling childhood memories and challenging the construct of time" in liminal spaces.

Aptly billed as a "fever dream," the latest adventure from Liminal Assembly will take participants to the city's only Chuck E. Cheese, one of only four remaining in Ontario after the death of kids' entertainment centres and all their pizza, karaoke, ball pits and other real-life, screentime-void fun that had its heyday in the '90s.

True to the depressing reality of growing older, Liminal Assembly invites anyone who remembers formative birthday parties and other celebrations at Chuck. E Cheese's (or Wally B World, Super Kids and the like) to re-visit the space for .... a day of co-working, of all things.

The outing promises to "take co-working to the next level," with the team "inviting you to Chuck E. Cheese's for a day of productivity, imagination and nostalgia" among the location's games and creepy animatronic characters forced to perform for children day in and day out.

Guests will be provided a pizza lunch complete with a pop or coffee, as well as warm cookies for dessert to really take you back.

For those who want to further explore their feelings and memories of childhood beyond the surreality of simply existing and working in the space, there is also beer available for purchase, along with play points for gaming (and of course, more food for adult-sized bellies).

As far as the co-working goes, the venue does have wifi and power outlets, though regarding the latter, has "warned us that they're prone to shortening out and may cause damage to devices," organizers write on the eventbrite page.

Tickets to the event — taking place from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 8 — are $45, and include group transportation to the famous home of Charles Entertainment Cheese at 2452 Sheppard Avenue East.

Apparently, there has already been a ton of interest, with the page stating that "we've had close to 100 registrants, however, Chuck E. Cheese's has requested we limit this to 20 people."
