Someone got a horrible TTC tattoo and people in Toronto think it's absolutely hilarious

Despite their daily grumblings about the TTC, millions of people in Toronto rely on the city's public transit to safely and efficiently get them where they need to go each and every day. And, one person has decided to show their appreciation for the network's service in a very unique — and permanent — way.

An artist from Montreal who appears to specialize in "scratcher" style tattoos that have become strangely popular on social media shared a photo of one of their recent pieces to Instagram on Wednesday that is now going viral over here in T.O. for very obvious reasons.

The tattoo is of the TTC's logo, done fairly large and with imperfect black-and-grey linework.

"For Michael, I ❤️ public transportation," reads the caption on the post, which has since racked up thousands of likes after being reshared by a certain viral Instagram account from the nation's biggest city.

Among hundreds of comments on the post are countless laughing emojis, with people seeming to find the shakily-done ink to be quite hilarious.

"It looks as awful as [TTC] service is," one person said in a joke that many echoed in other comments.

"As much as I like the TTC with a passion and all, I will never get a TTC tattoo, even if someone paid me to," another said.

Some wondered if, due to the deliberately poor quality, the logo was drawn on in pen or marker rather than actually tattooed.

But, the artist chimed in to assure netizens that it was indeed real, even saying which needle they used for the sketchy effect (a nine round liner, which some said made it "look like he got it done at a TTC station," or even on a moving TTC vehicle).

Some also quipped that the proud passenger will likely be getting free TTC rides for life, a claim that blogTO is waiting on the commission to confirm.
