As I walked past the Queen & Bay bus stop, I noticed the TTC shelter's advertisement. Orderit.ca - promoting its 100-restaurant delivery listing.

I was quite disappointed. A mere 100? Couldn't be. Nah! There has to be more restaurants that deliver.

So as soon as I got home, I plunked in my postal code to see what would come up. Some of my Y&E favourites were not listed (ones that I know deliver). North 44, Sorn Thai, Blue Zen...where were they? Heck, and those were only the ones at the corner of my street. What is this site? The ad said "Over 100 restaurants delivered to your door."

I did a little research, I found out that the site is owned and operated by Restaurants on the Go. Ah, that explains a lot. Of course, only their participating vendors would be listed. Oh, and yes, the site was only developed in response to the needs of their corporate clientele. Disappointing. Misleading. I was pretty excited that this could actually be the delivery list I was dreaming about.

Okay, so I went back to play with it some more to see if I would use this if I was planning a party...or say, a corporate event. Unfortunately, I found its use to be very poor. Links were sending me to locations that had no connection to the original content. There were no reviews (at least in my area) and no legend to tell you the meaning of their price rating system.

Enough is enough. I had to close the tab on this one. Ex-nay on the bookmark.
