It's turkey (or tofurkey) time folks! Thanksgiving weekend is quickly approaching, bringing with it promises of delicious food. But what if you don't have the time or inclination to cook a bird the size of a toddler? Well, no need to worry, as there's a wealth of Toronto restaurants taking on all of the responsibility as they serve up Thanksgiving-inspired menus. So this weekend, as Martha Stewart types are dressing their turkeys better than I dress myself, the rest of us can choose from the list below, sit back, enjoy, and let the tryptophan do the rest.

Parkdale / Roncesvalles / Junction / Bloor West

• Keriwa Cafe has promised a holiday menu, but actual specifics remain a mystery as I write this.
• Barque Smokehouse is offering a special menu Friday through Sunday ($24) that includes lemon & herb smoked turkey and pan fried gnocchi, as well as a special family prix fixe ($30) on Monday night.
• Check out Cardinal Rule's Saturday night Thanksgiving-style menu here.
• William at Outhouse is also roasting a turkey and putting together "Gobble Gobble" paninis for those who don't feel like undoing that top button.
• Want organic? The Beet has just the feast for you ($25) on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 5:30.

Queen West

• The Drake launches its new fall menu this Thursday (apple cider cheesecake anyone?), Both Czehoski ($18.95) and the Beaconsfield ($18) are serving traditional turkey dinners with all the fixings.
• The Bohemain Gastropub will also be cooking up some holiday-appropriate deliciousness.

Ossington / Dundas West

• Union ($22 - $26) is going to be "embracing the classic style" of Thanksgiving dinner.
• And the folks at the Lakeview Diner ($14) are takin' it to the deep fryer for a full 24hours starting Sunday at midnight.

King West / Liberty Village

• The Brazen Head is going traditional for both Sunday and Monday dinners ($16).
• Over at Beast, Rachelle has created a pumpkin cheesecake that includes "drunken cranberries" and "bruleed marshmallow fluff." Yum.

The Annex

• Don't eat meat? No problem! Hogtown Vegan is at your service on Sunday with a vegan and gluten-free prix fixe menu ($30).
• Want meat? Head to The Harbord Room for their Sunday night dinner ($35) that involves a pumpkin tart with ox blood plum sauce and cinnamon ice cream.

St. Clair West

• The Rushton has some new items this weekend, including a port-fig gelato, and will be atypically taking reservations for Mondays dinner.
• And new to the neighbourhood, Hardy's is going all out as they serve up your choice of turkey with three — yes, three — different kinds of stuffing, or Virginia honey-glazed ham. Pumpkin pie made with real live pumpkins is also up for grabs...none of that canned stuff here. Be sure to reserve early for Friday or Saturday night.

The Danforth

• Globe Bistro is offering the same prix fixe menu as Earth, but on Sunday only
• The Combine Eatery has alluded to turkey themed treats for Friday, Saturday, and dinner service on Monday.

Leslieville / Riverside / The Beach

• Reap what Ed Levesque's Kitchen is sowing on Sunday with this menu, and the always faithful Tulip Steakhouse is offering up a classic holiday menu for $17.95 a person both Sunday and Monday after 12 noon.

Last but not least

• Cafe Belong at Evergreen Brickworks is doing turkey themed brunch on Saturday and Sunday, but they are closed for dinner service.
• Against the Grain Urban Tavern by Sugar Beach is having a Sunday night roast ($20), with the bird of choice being Cornish game hens (in the spirit of mini turkeys), and $5 off all bottles of wine.
