Toronto Street Food Project

Want food trucks in Toronto? You can help

Launching today is the Toronto Street Food Project, a coordinated effort to get our local politicians to change Toronto's by-laws to pave the way for a vibrant food truck scene. As of this morning, it's never been easier for us to contact our local city councillor and tell them we want them to do something about this issue. Along with an easy-to-submit stock letter about the issue (you can just sign your name or add more personalized content), there's a handy Twitter gallery that allows users to tweet @ those councillors who have accounts.

It's almost spammy, but that's what might make it effective. Here's betting we see Twitter leveraged in this way more often if this effort proves successful. More info can be found over here. But why not just go ahead and fire off that email?
