Taste of Toronto Food Festival

Taste of Toronto food festival coming summer 2014

Taste of Toronto is coming to Fort York this summer for the North American debut of the internationally acclaimed series of festivals, which take place in 20 other countries around the world (think London, Sydney, Milan, and Moscow, etc.). Details are somewhat sparse at the moment, but we know that the festival will take place over four days (July 24-27), and already has some big name talent signed up to participate.

Those on board for the inaugural Toronto event include Mark McEwan (North 44, One, etc.), Colin Tooke (Grand Electric), Stuart Cameron (Patria & Weslodge), Ben Heaton (The Grove), and David Neinstein (Barque).

Toronto attendees can expect participating chefs to craft three origianl dishes for the event, as well as live food demonstrations, chef Q&As, interactive cooking classes, wine tastings, and live music. Retail pop-ups are also promised. In other words, this is like a foodie extravaganza. Jean-Paul Sartre would be turning in his grave, but you can bet Toronto's going to eat this up.
