Hot dogs in Toronto go far beyond your basic street meat. Nowadays local eateries are serving up dogs in all different shapes and sizes and topping them with some of the most crazy ingredients you can find. From deep fried dogs coated in panko to dogs topped with raclette, these are the one you need to try.

Smoke's Weinerie
Similar to their poutinerie the hot dogs here are absolutely outrageous. They range in size, the largest being the foot long. As far as toppings go you can get everything from poutine to homemade chili, salsa, cheddar cheese sauce and jalape単os.

Fancy Franks
If you're hankering for a hot dog odds are a Fancy Franks isn't too hard to find as the shop now has three locations across the city. They boast an extensive menu of hot dogs including their Frankie Goes to Buffalo which is a deep fried dog topped off with chicken bacon, carrots, celery, blue cheese, and hot sauce.

Let's Be Frank
Head to Chinatown to get your hands on some wild wieners. Dogs at Let's Be Frank come in three different sizes and menu offerings range from the Katsu Dog which is panko coated and topped with wasabi mayo to the Mac Daddy which is loaded with mac and cheese and BBQ sauce.

Wvrst
This King West establishment specializes in sausage-making and offers over two dozen types of house-made wieners. Take your selection to the next level with the addition of raclette for $4.

The Burger's Priest
This burger joint is relatively new to the hot dog game. They are taking Nathan's hot dogs and loading them up with their homemade chili and cheese. Go one step further and order it Vatican style to ditch the bun for a grilled cheese sandwich.
