Singer Amanda Marshall just showed up at one of Toronto's oldest diners, surprising the staff there.

Patrician Grill posted on their social media that the songstress stopped by on March 28.

She took a photo with staff while holding a drink, which the restaurant posted online.

"Singer Amanda Marshall came in the Patrician today," the restaurant wrote. "She was great."

You might remember Amanda Marshall from her 1990s and 2000s hits like Birmingham and Everybody's Got a Story, as well as her signature big curly hair.

Over 100 people have liked the photo on Facebook, and people have been commenting on the photo on Facebook and Instagram, saying things like "cool" and "awesome."

Patrician Grill replied to one of the comments on Facebook saying, "She was really nice."

"This woman is so classy and talented! I love her songs and performances," one person commented. "And definitely knows where the best evah meals are on King Street!"

"Such a great talent," another person commented. "We are going to get tickets to see her...shows just announced."

Amanda Marshall is indeed starting her tour 25 & Counting: The Heavy Lifting Tour in a few months in June, scheduled to play Massey Hall here in Toronto on June 16.

People on Instagram have also been commenting "awesome" and "amazing," and there were more compliments for Patrician too.

"She was probably the one who was starstruck," someone commented. Another person wrote, "The stars know what's up."

"It's been years since I've seen or heard anything from her," one person commented. "Was such a huge fan in my teens!!"

It seems it's refreshing for a lot of us to see the lovely Amanda Marshall again, perhaps most of all the surprised staff at Patrician Grill whose day was brightened by the celeb drop-in.
