Latin restaurant nailed with 11 infractions by Toronto health inspectors

A Latin restaurant in Toronto was recently flagged by health inspectors after they found several infractions.

Delicious Empanadas, located at 2438 Dufferin Street, is a Colombian street food spot known for their empanadas, arepas, real fruit smoothies, and desserts like cholado.

The restaurant received a conditional pass notice on May 10 after health inspectors detected 11 infractions, one of them crucial, five of them significant, four of them minor, and one categorized as "other."

The crucial infraction involved storing "potentially hazardous foods at internal temperature between 4 C and 60 C."

The significant infractions included failing to "provide adequate number of handwashing stations," and failing to "retain records of pest control measures taken for one year."

The four minor infractions included failing to "ensure equipment surface sanitized as necessary," and failing to "protect against entry of pests."
