The chef behind two Michelin-star restaurants is opening a new Toronto dining destination
The Michelin-starred chef behind two hugely popular restaurants in Toronto is opening a new spot in the city.
Chef Rob Rossi and restaurateur David Minicucci, the masterminds behind Michelin-starred Yorkville/Summerhill Italian spot, Osteria Giulia, and Little Italy/Dufferin Grove's Giulietta are at it once again, gearing up to open yet another restaurant in Toronto.
The new restaurant, called Bisteccheria Sammarco, will be a traditional Italian Steakhouse, centred around quality meats and seafood and, judging by Rossi's track record and the preliminary posts on the restaurant's Instagram (however limited), it's going to be good.
The restaurant will be moving in at 4 Front Street East, taking over the space left by O&B French restaurant, Biff's Bistro, which is currently in the process of relocating to a new spot in the Financial District.
While no official opening date has been confirmed for the restaurant at the time of publication, an announcement on the restaurant's Instagram page declares that Bisteccheria Sammarco will be opening this fall — so Toronto carnivores won't have to wait too long before sinking their teeth in.
In the meantime, you can get a taste of what Chef Rossi could be dishing out by visiting Osteria Giulia at 134 Avenue Road or Giulietta at 972 College.
