Toronto is ending the summer with a new craft beer festival this weekend
Great Lakes Brewery is celebrating the end of the summer months with a huge beer and food festival, Brewed For You Craft Beer Festival, on August 24th.
This one-day event will be a celebration of Ontario craft beer culture with its goal of showcasing locally made beer.
Two sessions will take place throughout the event and will include a selection of beers made by 20+ breweries from across the province.
These breweries include some local favourites like Bellwoods Brewery, Rainhard, Indie Alehouse and Common Good.
And do not fret, Great Lakes knows it wouldn't be a beer festival without some food, entertainment, and live music.
Highlighting local musicians, you can catch rock band Shanick Road in the first session from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and in the second session local live music and a 90s dance party will take place from 90s and 00s cover band Discmen from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Taking a different approach from other local festivals Brewed For You will be offering a viewing of local circus performer Tim Burr the circus lumberjack, and a variety of different food vendors will be present along with a pig roast!
To make your experience as smooth as possible, you'll receive a 12oz sampling mug, a festival lanyard, and two free tokens to kick-start your tasting experience.
Ticket prices are $30 for the first session from 12 p.m to 4 p.m, and $45 for the second session for from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The festival will take place on August 24th at Great Lakes Brewery on 30 Queen Elizabeth Blvd in South Etobicoke.
Tickets are now available online to purchase.
