There's a 3-day Filipino food and culture festival in Toronto this week

A food and culture festival celebrating all things Filipino is coming to Toronto this week.

You'll be able to dive into the vibrant culture of the Philippines at Fun Philippines, Canada's largest Filipino food and music festival, taking place in Toronto this coming weekend.

The public festival takes over an entire intersection for three days, filling it with the alluring scents of Filipino favourites like pancit and lumpia from local vendors such as Vaughan's Tropang Ilongo and Filipino-style breakfast spot, Rice is Rice.

The festival isn't just about the food, although a selection of great eats certainly does help — you'll also be able to groove out to live music performances spanning from traditional styles to contemporary beats alongside performances by traditional Filipino dance groups.

There'll be an opening night concert to mark the weekend's kickoff, featuring performances by Filipino-Canadian music acts Amplifye and The AC Project, before the rest of the fun begins.

Fun Philippines Toronto is taking place between Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28, running from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, at the Harbourfront Centre.
