Filipino food festival taking over Toronto streets this weekend
Prepare to get your fill of all things Philippines, Toronto, because the Taste of Manila festival is making its grand return to the city this weekend.
Kicking off on Saturday, Aug 17, the festival is celebrating their 11th year bringing together the best of the best Filipino food vendors, talent and artisans, all for you to explore.
Food vendors from all across the city and GTA will whet your appetite with Filipino favourites, filling the entire intersection of Bathurst and Wilson with the flavours of the Philippines.
Baked goods from the likes of Jeprimo's Bakeshop and Jackie's Creative Cakes, lechon from Wilson's Haus of Lechon and streetfood from Tapguan are just a few of the savoury and sweet treats you'll be able to get your hands on this weekend.
Filipino icon, Jollibee, will even have a booth set up if you're craving their iconic fried chicken or spaghetti.
While its name would suggest the festival is all about the food, there's so much more to discover at this year's Taste of Manila festival.
You can also catch appearances from Filipino talent like Alden Richards and Boobay, alongside live music and dance performances from both local and international artists, keeping the good times rolling all weekend long.
The best part of all? The festival is totally free to attend. All you have to do is show up and start eating.
Taste of Manila runs from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug 17 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug 18.
