Toronto Fashion Bloggers Brunch

Sunday was the inaugural Toronto Fashion Bloggers Brunch. It was an excellent time. It's always a little surreal to me when I step out of the virtual world and engage people in real time. It's nice to finally put a face to the avatar and satisfy some curiosity. I arrived fashionably late at Future Bakery. I turned off my alarm in the morning and went back to bed. It's something I do a little too often.

In attendance was our wonderful organizer Danielle (Final Fashion), Sonja(Toronto Street Fashion), Rachel (Toronto Street Fashion), Carolyn (Toronto Fashion Incubator), Adrian (Fashion Verbatim), Tiffanie (one of our great readers) and Laura (a photographer and a friend of Adrian). We missed other bloggers that didn't get a chance to make it this time. We were hoping to hear some of La Femme's NY Fashion Week stories.

We spent a few hours talking about blogging, fashion and day jobs. I came to realize that I have the best of both worlds, I love my day job. It's weird but true. It's something I've wanted to be since childhood apparently. I had forgotten until I saw my old school scrapbook which listed what I wanted to do when I was older. I work in software development and I also get to write about fashion, which is something I've always loved too.

Final Fashion has a great picture of us all posted. This will be a monthly event for all of you that missed us this time around. A final location is still to be determined but check back as I will post an invite.
