Hot Sales in the Summertime

It's a good time for sales in the city, as some favourite haunts are selling their wares. First off, the Juma Studio Sale will be going till July 11, 2008. Aila and Jamil are making room for the next season and you can get great deals on clothing from Spring 2008. Fall 2007 is 70% off, spring 2008 is 50-70% off and items start at $25. Head down to the studio at 224 Wallace Ave, Suite 414, 416-829-6566.

Boutique Le Trou never has a sale - until now. They are clearing out the store to make way for new plans in the works. You can find some of Canada's best up and coming designers at the shop. Deals are from 60-80% off, with no items over $250. Choose from clothing (period and vintage), jewellery, handbags, footwear, gifts and home furnishings. No item of clothing is over $199. Boutique Le Trou is located at 940 Queen Street West, 416-516-7122. Head in before everything is gone.

Nathalie-Roze & Co. is having their 2nd year anniversary sale on July 12, 2008 from 11am to 6pm. Everything is 20% off in the store. There will be free treats for the customers and several prize packs to giveaway. This is another good time to stock up on local and Canadian designers.

The Costume Alliance for Film and Television Costume Art and Design are hosting a sale of clothing, jewellery, fabrics, wardrobe related supplies and other unusual items provided by the Toronto Film Industry Costumers. I'm told the bargains will be plentiful. They are asking for a $2 donation at the door that will help with CAFTCAD community initiatives. It takes place on July 12, 2008 from 9am to 5pm at The Toronto Film Studios, 629 Eastern Ave. It's a cash only sale. Please bring your own shopping bag - CAFTCAD like that.

If you are feeling the 90s fashion revival, check out the Pre-WEMF huge storage sale this weekend July12 - July13. Mudshark Streetwear, a local streetwear company, will be breaking out the old school brands like SNUG and FDCO. Nothing will be over $50. Head over to 644 Adelaide St West. The hours are from 1pm to 8pm. Contact mudshark ((at)) mudsharkstreetwear.com for more information.
