LUST Pop-Up Shop filled with fashion goodness

Now that there's only two weeks of Christmas shopping time left, get thee to one of the city's best holiday pop-up shops, LUST (Let Us Style Toronto). The one-day sale does have impeccable credentials: it was organized by The Fashion Collective, the crew who shot new life into Fashion Week last season with a spate of hot young talent.

A couple of their Fashion Week compatriots will be displaying their wares upstairs at The Gladstone today, where the sale is taking place until 10pm.

I got a sneak peek last night; standouts on the clothing side include cropped leather blazers and wool catsuits from House of Groves, tiger-striped backless silk dresses and elegant cotton pants by Chloe Comme Paris, and a rack full of high-end vintage by Magwood (try on a nineties-era Versace belt or a teal silk jaquard jacket trimmed with mink).

More traditional Christmas prezzies abound, too, in the form of beautifully packaged Mary Macleod shortbread, gorgeous-smelling Lovefresh bath stuff, colourful Happy Socks (perfect for dads), and DaLish cosmetics.

Santa's such an unfashionable chap: beat him to the punch and buy local!
