Totem Cups

Toronto Gift Guide: Totem stacking tea cups

It's day number five of my quest to find some of the best gifts in Toronto. Today's pick: Totem stacking tea cups. There's a bit of a Native Canadian vibe in fashion this season, so why not run with the trend? Imagined by Toronto-based designer, Rob Southcott, this stackable set pays homage to the monumental sculptures carved by First Nations people. I recall seeing these beauties around town a while ago, but in a classic white colour. It was only when I stumbled upon them in this metallic gold that I was smitten. This is my kind of bling!

Additional specs: Ceramic, approx 3" in diameter x 2.5" high (each), also available in salt & pepper shakers and sugar bowls

Best for: Art-loving friends with tiny kitchens

What they'll cost you: $87.00

Where to get 'em: Russet & Empire, 390 Keele Street
