LG Fashion Week Toronto Ronald Wan

The Faces of LGFW: Ronald Wan, videographer

From PR pros to runway stomping models, there are lots of different types of people who make LG Fashion Week go 'round. Over the next few days, I'll be writing about some of them. Today, the videographer.

Name: Ronald Wan, 24
Day job: Graphic artist, and videographer, mainly for The Fashion Collective
Twitter: @RonWanDesign

Why you should care: Ronald Wan is modest - and talented. This week, you'll catch him behind the scenes or in small corners of the runway silently documenting the work and the experiences of budding LGFW talents, mostly in conjunction with fashion management agency The Fashion Collective and their roster of newer names. Wan's also a graphic artist, and most recently collaborated on digital prints of Barcelona's cityscape for Spanish designer Roberto Piqueras' fall/winter 2012 collection. (He's wearing one of his prints in the portrait above.) A Hong Kong native, the young visual mastermind is known for his video creations about Toronto's fashion scene during off-season. He also does collabs with other designers on other multimedia things, which, of course, draw big numbers to his multi-cam website from beyond city limits. So forget the LGFW live stream, click over for daily catch-ups with Wan instead.

Name the designer doing the freshest thing at LGFW: Sid Neigum
The designer who should be showing at LGFW: London's Fanny and Jessy
This week's low: The new venue, sadly. It's like we're sardines in a can
The week's high: The surge in new talent that's worth supporting

Wan's Toronto Hit List
Where to shop: Online, SEVEN from New York
Where to eat: Breakfast/brunch/lunch Saving Grace or something along those lines
Where to hang: 416 Snack Bar (and you should eat here, too)
Where to hide: Little Nicky's Coffee
Where you call home: In living colour
