Toronto nail salon locked out by landlord

A Toronto nail salon has been locked out of its location by its landlord for not paying rent.

A notice has been put in the window of the location of Nails For You at Bay and Bloor, at 1168 Bay St.

The salon chain has many locations spread across the city and country, and they're known for their manicures and pedicures as well as other personal care services like eyelash extensions, waxing, threading and facials.

Unfortunately, if this was the place you were going to get your regular mani, it's now vacated from this address and the space is now up for lease.

A notice of termination from landlord Nuforce Inc. dated February 23 has been posted in the window of the Nails For You location on Bay.

"The Landlord hereby gives you notice that, as a result of your default in payment of rent and other amounts owing in respect of the Lease, which have not been paid despite numerous demands, the Lease is terminated effective immediately," reads the notice.

The notice goes on to say that the landlord has the right to obtain rent and other charges, legal expenses and costs incurred by re-letting the premises. It also says any unclaimed property on the premises had been disposed of by March 3.

Fortunately, there are lots of other Nails For You locations and other great salons where you can get your mani on even though the lease has been terminated at this one.
