Toronto store known for its New York style closing after 15 years
The disappointment sets in quickly when a business in Toronto changes its website's home page to a note that starts with "My dearest customers and friends...", and the disappointment never gets easier no matter how many times it happens.
TASK, a self proclaimed 'neighbourhood emporium where urban bohemian meets minimal materialism.', known for its New York vibe has announced the end of its store in the Beaches.
"It has been a beautiful 15 years and I am very grateful to have had TASK and all of you in my life...but... it is time for this chapter to end and for a new chapter to begin," wrote owner Anne at the start of her statement made about the store's closing in July.
She finishes off her sentiments with words of optimism, "I will miss it all a great deal but I am also excited for what is still to come..."
TASK carries everything from in-style closing items, elegant jewelry, and tasteful home goods, and all around one stop shop.
With the sad news of a non physical space comes the need to downsize.
The store's location will stay open until Sunday, August 18th, but they will continue sales online until Sunday, August 25th.
With an "everything must go" mentality in the works they're offering 50 per cent off on all in-store purchases including online purchases made with the code CLOSING50.
Sales may continue to get bigger as the store comes closer to their closing date.
