The Projector is Rolling: Hot Docs Begins Tonight!

The 12th annual Hot Docs film festival kicks off tonight, and it looks like it will be a good one. Things get rolling at 9:30 PM with the hugely anticipated screening of Muderball--Rubin and Shapiro's award-winning documentary about full-contact wheelchair rugby. Murderball has been receiving great reviews across the board and even managed to pick up both the Audience Award and Special Jury Prize at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

A big treat at the festival will be the ceremony honoring legendary filmmaker Errol Morris. Morris is set to receive an Outstanding Achievement Award on the 29th and will also participate in a panel discussion at the Isabel Bader Theatre on April 30th. Unfortunately, tickets for the event have been completely snatched up...only rush tickets are available--you'll just have to line up and hope some people don't show (which normally happens).

Tickets, and a complete film schedule, can be found at the Hot Docs website: www.hotdocs.ca
