Toronto Tibet Film Festival

The First (EVER!) Toronto Tibet Film Festival lands this Friday and Saturday at the Bloor Cinema. With his holiness, the Dalai Lama visiting our dear city last April, there has been a swell of interest Torontonians have in Tibet according to festival co-organizers. We are presented with a collection of 7 films and documentaries showcasing different dimensions of this oppressed culture.

For those interested, Dr. Thupten Junpa, interpreter for his holiness will be a part of a special evening discussion with Evan Solomon of the CBC following Saturday's screening of The Jew in the Lotus.

Tickets are $9 at the door or $7 in advance or $25 to see all the films. Please check the official website for where you can purchase advance tickets at www.TorontoTibetFilmFestival.com.

I'm excited to screen Travellers and Magicians Friday night at 9pm. It's a tale of lust, jealousy and murder! ... (juicy!)
